When staying at North Street Cottage you are only a short walk from some of North Devon’s best pubs, restaurants and cafes, plus the village has award-winning takeaway venues. Spend time celebrating in a small, relaxed bistro or enjoy a family meal in a classic pub. Don’t want to venture out? Stop off in one of the many takeaway restaurants serving various cuisines and head back to the cottage for a night in front of the TV.

Squires Fish and Chips 

The award-winning Squires Fish and Chip Restaurant is well-known for being one of the best in the country, serving hot and chunky chips and beautifully battered fish alongside a wide range of other dishes.

SQ Bar and Restaurant  

One of North Devon’s best bars and restaurants is just down the road from the cottage and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed, laid back atmosphere. Located in the heart of the village SQ really comes into life in the evening when it offers traditional British cuisine, as well as a great selection of wines, beers and cocktails.

Le Bistro Du Coin (The Corner Bistro) 

The wonderful Le Bistro Du Coin is a great place to enjoy a special occasion. This relaxed French style restaurant prides itself on giving its guests plenty of to enjoy their food and wine, so they never feel rushed. Some of its classic dishes include Moules Frites, Confit De Canard and Escargots.

At One 

At One offers informal dining and flexible opening times. Situated in the heart of Braunton this relaxed all-day café has an extensive menu to suit all tastes. By day enjoy all-day breakfast and other light dishes before the café is transformed into a cosy restaurant ideal for couples or families.

The Riverside  

The family run Riverside overlooks the River Caen and delights its customers in serving fresh dishes that use local ingredients, some of which are grown on their own farm just outside Braunton. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is well worth a visit.

Williams Arms  

The 16th century thatched Williams Arms lies on the outskirts of Braunton and has something for everyone, including a popular bar with a variety of drinks and a large restaurant, which serves a daily carvery for both lunch and dinner.
